Sleeve Friction Ring Set (Drill & Tool End)
Sleeve Friction Ring Set (Drill & Tool End)
This little ring is a big deal.
The average operation speed of a shaft is between 1200 and 2000 RPM. At this speed, the friction from the flex shaft tends to grind the sleeve slightly on the ends. The ring attaches to the flex shaft sleeve, and acts as a barrier between the sleeve and the shaft.
This prevents damage to the end of the sleeve and at the same time prevents dirt from getting into the flex shaft sleeve. Less dirt between the sleeve and the shaft ensures better performance and longevity of both the sleeve and the shaft.
The rings are beveled at the end to prevent them from getting caught on a junction when you retrieve the shaft from a pipe after you have cleared your blockage.
Sold as a set of two. (Drill end, and tool end ring).
For flexible shafts of the following diameters: 8mm (5/16") , 10mm (3/8"), and12mm (1/2").
