Lightweight X-Tip (Cast iron and clay)

This lightweight version of the X-Tip chain is designed for aggressive removal of obstructions in cast iron and vitrified clay pipes. It is the most aggressive chain in our range.

Each chain link is only 3,5mm in diameter which reduces the weight considerably. This is very helpful when you are using a thinner shaft because the chain does not need as much torque as a heavy duty chain. With this chain, you can use a smaller power source and get the same results.

Whilst the circular chains are meant specifically for descaling pipes, this chain will remove tuberculation and lime scale build up, but it will do so at a slower pace than a circular chain.

This model is available in sizes ranging from 50mm (2") to 100 mm(4") diameter.

The chain are adjustable so you can set them to clean a size smaller by tightening the hubs further apart. They use centrifugal force to center the tool in the pipe to ensure that the entire inner surface of the pipe is cleaned quickly and easily.

Depending on the size you choose, the chains could have between 1 - 3 individual chains which make up the unit. The chains and their connection hubs are all made from stainless steel chains with hardened metal teeth fused to the cutting edge.

The chains mount to the following size flexible shafts - 1/4" (6mm)- 5/16" (8mm) - 3/8" (10mm) or 1/2" (12mm)

The lightweight X-Tip chain is suitable for cast iron, concrete, copper, clay and steel pipes; however, due to its aggressive nature, we do not recommend using this chain with PVC (ABS) pipes.
