Heavy-duty X-Tip Chain With Drill Head (Cast iron and clay)

If this tool cant get the job done, then there is nothing else you can do but dig up the line. It is the equivalent of the boogeyman for tree roots.

The hard alloy bits fused to the cutting edge have an X shape that rasps away whatever it touches at 2000 RPM and obliterates blockages in seconds. This is by far our most aggressive chain.

It will grind up failed liners, and even solid obstructions almost as fast as our Croco Mole because the it has a Crown drill head at the front of it. The individual chains are 4mm thick which gives it more weight than the lightweight version, so it delivers more force to the cutting edge. Clients have reported that this chain has broken up solid concrete, and they have even given us sewer camera footage to prove it.

The chain is meant for cast iron and vitrified clay pipes ranging from 75mm (3") to 200mm (8").

This Crown drill head has an opening of 25mm (1") in diameter, and each unit consists of 3 stainless steel chains to prevent oxidation. The chain is adjustable, so it could be used in for pipes slightly bigger or smaller than the intended size if the two mounting brackets are located closer together, or further apart.

It will mount quickly to an 8mm (5/16"), 10mm (3/8") and 12mm (1/2") flexible shaft with set screws.
