This sewer cleaning machine kit is primarily utilized for unblocking and descaling PVC pipes, including shower and basin drain pipes, as well as smaller pipework with multiple bends and junctions. The cutting-edge chains included in this kit do not feature hard metal bits fused to them.

The compact and lightweight design of this flex shaft sewer machine kit allows for easy storage in a toolbox, and it can be set up in seconds by simply attaching it to your drill.

Toilets

Many users find this kit particularly useful for handling day-to-day toilet blockages. The flexible shaft in this kit is equipped with a chemical and heat resistant sleeve, ensuring that porcelain is protected and eliminating the need to remove a toilet pan when dealing with soft blockages in close proximity to the toilet's waste line. Blockage Removal

This sewer cleaning machine kit is perfect for eliminating fat deposits in pipes connected to grease traps, as well as tackling soft blockages in bath waste pipes.

Descaling

In addition to blockage removal, this tool offers the added benefit of descaling pipes. It enables faster and more effective removal of urine scale compared to traditional jetting machines. With this flex shaft sewer machine, you won't encounter large broken-up chunks of scale that could further clog the pipe downstream.

Boiler Cleaning

Many customers have purchased this kit for dry industrial tube cleaning, particularly for firetube maintenance. The centrifugal forces generated by the chains keep the tool centered in the pipe, ensuring equal cleaning of the entire inner circumference. The stainless steel chains are securely fastened to the shaft with hex screws, allowing for adjustments to accommodate slight pipe size variations.

This kit includes a 6mm (1/4") flexible shaft, which is our most flexible option without compromising on rigidity.

The shaft sleeve is equipped with friction rings to protect the ends from wear and tear. The rings on each end prevent dirt accumulation between the shaft and sleeve, ensuring optimal efficiency and longevity of the tool.

The kit includes:

  1. 6mm flexible shaft with friction rings
  2. Drill to Shaft Adapter for connecting the flexible shaft to your power drill
  3. Mini Chain 40-50 mm pipe 6mm (1/4") flex shaft
  4. Lightweight Plain Chain (NO Drill head) 32mm/1.3" for 6mm (1/4") Shaft (1 chain - 3.5mm)
  5. Lightweight Plain Chain (NO Drill head) 50mm/2" for 6mm (1/4") Shaft (2 chains - 3.5mm)

Before placing your order for the longest length available, consider the following:

The 6mm shaft delivers optimal performance for lengths under 15 meters (49.21ft). Longer lengths are more suitable for softer blockages like those found in grease traps, as the longer shaft provides less torque delivery to the chains.

Shaft Shrinkage

During the manufacturing process, the shafts are wound in a straight line, then wound onto a large spool before being cut into smaller pieces and assembled for delivery. As a result, when you first use the shaft, you may notice a slight shrinkage at the ends, particularly at the drill end. This is a normal occurrence as the shaft experiences the stresses of multiple bends and torque for the first time. Once the inner strands settle into their permanent position, the shrinkage will cease. Typically, this affects approximately 3 inches (75mm) on either end of the shaft. If you observe this shrinkage, simply remove the shrunken section using an angle grinder, and reconnect your chains and drill. While it is not necessary to weld the ends, if you choose to do so, take care to avoid applying excessive heat to the shaft.

Lubrication Prior to First Use

Aviation regulations prohibit the delivery of products that could be considered flammable, so the shafts are shipped without lubricant in the sleeve. It is important to lubricate your flexible shaft before using it and periodically check the lubrication every few weeks. This not only ensures the longevity of the shaft but also enhances its efficiency over longer distances. Here is a video demonstrating how to lubricate your shaft:
