Addressing Shaft Shrinkage

During the manufacturing process, the shafts are initially wound in a long, straight line, then wound onto a large-diameter spool before being cut into smaller sections. This winding process can cause some initial shrinkage, particularly noticeable at the drill end. However, this is perfectly normal and temporary. After the first use, the inner strands of the shaft settle into their permanent position, and the shrinkage ceases. Typically, this affects approximately 3 inches (75mm) on either end of the shaft. If you observe this shrinkage, simply remove the shrunken section using an angle grinder, reconnect the chains and drill, and there's no need for welding.
